Los Sonámbulos were a Mexican rock and roll group formed in late 1960 by young students from the Instituto Juan Luis Vives. Influenced by musicians like Gene Vincent and Johnny Burnette, they acquired their first guitar to start playing rock and roll. Their initial release was the single "La Plaga / Rock del Angelito" in 1960. In 1961, Los Sonámbulos released their sole LP, Rock con los Sonámbulos. The group recorded several singles for Discos Musart and later moved to Discos Gamma (now part of EMI Televisa Music), where they released three more singles. Notable songs from their discography include "Francisco y Juanita" and covers like "Pájaro azul" by Federico Arana. The band disbanded in 1962.
