Biography

Long Beach Shortbus was an American reggae-influenced punk band from Long Beach, California. Formed in 2002 by RAS-1 and Eric Wilson as a side project after the disbandment of the Long Beach Dub Allstars, the group consisted of RAS-1 (lead vocals and guitar), Trey Pangborn (guitar), Eric Wilson (bass guitar), and Damion Ramirez (drums). Their debut release was the self-titled Shortbus EP (2002), featuring their hit single "California Grace", which also appeared on the soundtrack to the MTV reality series Laguna Beach. The band's first album, Flying Ship of Fantasy, followed in 2004 . Long Beach Shortbus disbanded in 2007, with their final performance taking place at the Haunted Ball and Chain festival in San Diego in November.
