Biography

Little Man Tate, a British indie rock band from Sheffield, England, formed in 2005. The group consisted of Jon Windle on vocals and guitar, Edward 'Maz' Marriott on guitar, Dan Fields on drums, and Ben Surtees on bass. After several name changes and lineup adjustments, the band settled on Little Man Tate in September 2005. Their first single "The Agent" was released in March 2006 and reached Number 117 in the UK Singles Chart. The band's debut album About What You Know was released in January 2007, peaking at Number 27 on the UK Albums Chart. Notable singles from this period include "Sexy in Latin", which charted at Number 20, and "This Must Be Love", featuring veteran actress Liz Smith in its music video. In November 2007, Little Man Tate parted ways with V2 Records following Universal Music Group's acquisition of the label. They subsequently signed with Skint Records and released their second album Nothing Worth Having Comes Easy in September 2008, which reached Number 80 on the UK Albums Chart. The band disbanded in July 2009. They later reunited in early 2020 for several reunion shows.
