Biography
Lisa Milne, born April 22, 1971 in Aberdeen, Scotland, is a soprano known for her contributions to classical music and opera. She studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and was among the first artists invited to the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme in 1999. Milne's career includes notable performances with ensembles such as The King's Consort and collaborations with conductors including Roger Vignoles, Iain Burnside, and Malcolm Martineau. She has performed at prestigious venues like the Edinburgh Festival and the BBC Proms. Her operatic roles include Pamina in Die Zauberflöte and Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at the Metropolitan Opera. Milne was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in 2005.
