Biography

Liricas Analas was a Swiss rap group from Graubünden, formed in 1999. The band originally consisted of five MCs—Flepp, Orange, Jusht, PDDP, and Spoon—and two DJs, David Suivez and Gionson. They wrote their lyrics in the Rhaeto-Romance language, specifically in the Sursilvan dialect. Their debut album, Analogia, released on February 28, 2004, was the first rätoromanische rap album ever produced. In 2006, they followed up with AnalFaBad, which included the hit single "Siemis" that topped the Viva-Videocharts. The band took a hiatus to pursue solo projects and returned in 2009 with Analectrica, reaching number 13 on the Swiss Hitparade and earning a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Swiss Music Awards. In July 2021, Liricas Analas announced their disbandment, concluding with two final concerts and the release of a final album titled Liricas Analas in February 2022.
