Biography

Liran' Roll is a Mexican rock group formed in Mexico City in 1991, led by vocalist and guitarist Antonio Lira. After leaving the band Blues Boys, Lira joined Power Blues, which later adopted the name Liran' Roll and signed with Discos y Cintas Denver. The group released its debut album Quiero cambiar in 1991, followed by María, which earned radio and television exposure on Canal 11, Canal 22, Canal 34, and Televisa. Throughout the early 1990s, Liran' Roll expanded its lineup with bassist Hugo Mendoza and recorded albums such as El último viaje (1992), Recuerdos (1994), and Cambios (1998). The band embarked on a two‑month U.S. tour in 1993, performing in Los Angeles and Chicago, and collaborated with musicians Isidoro Negrete and Arturo Labastida. Subsequent releases included Momentos (2000), El Diablo (2001), and D.F. (2003), while the group maintained a presence on television programs and live concerts. In 2009, Liran' Roll departed from Discos y Cintas Denver, continuing independently.
