Biography
Lil Zey is a Turkish rapper, songwriter, and DJ who has been making waves in the music industry since she first burst onto the scene in the late 2010s. Born Zeynep Tanyalçın on July 28, 1991, in the city of Istanbul, she studied music management and songwriting at the prestigious Berklee College of Music and later made her recording debut on Metth's "Dont @ Me" from his 2019 album, METFLIX. Later that year, she kept the momentum going with a series of collaborations with fellow rappers KÃK$VL ("Ãtede Dur") and Khontkar ("Yolumuz Yol DeÄil"), followed by her debut single "Heveslenmem" in 2020. Subsequent singles "Eskisi Gibi" (2020) with Kozmos and "Meditasyon" with GRKM preceded the release of her first album Kara Tiyatro, issued by Universal Music Turkey in 2021. Over the next few months, Lil Zey became one of the biggest exponents of trap music in her native Turkey thanks to tracks such as "Elmas" with Luciano, "Matrix," or "80 Kere" with Rosalie. "OnlyFans," her first single of 2022, peaked at Number 82 on the Turkish streaming charts.
