Biography

Fémina, a folk trio from San Martín de los Andes, Argentina, was formed in 2004 by Clara Miglioli and Sofía "Toti" Trucco. The group, whose name means 'female' in Latin, added Clara "Wewi" Trucco on percussion later. Fémina's music blends harmonies with poetic rap in Spanish, often incorporating themes of folklore, feminism, and Patagonia. Their debut album Deshice de mi was released in 2011. The trio has toured extensively across Latin America, Europe, the United States, and Australia, performing at notable events such as the Sydney Festival in 2018. Fémina's work often features collaborations with prominent artists, including Iggy Pop. Clara Miglioli left the band in 2022, marking the band's transformation into a duo.
