Lex Legion is an international heavy metal band formed in 2026. The group consists of vocalist Nils K. Rue, guitarists Andy La Rocque and Pete Blakk, bassist Hal Patino, and drummer Mikkey Dee. Four of the five musicians were part of King Diamondâs classic lineup in the late 1980s. Nils K. Rue is also known as the vocalist for the Norwegian progressive metal band Paganâs Mind. The idea for Lex Legion emerged among longtime friends who decided to carry on their shared passion for classic heavy metal in a new band. Stylistically, the group blends traditional heavy metal with hard rock and melodic metal. Their music draws inspiration from the sound of the 1980s but features modern production. The debut album Lex Legion will be released in 2026 via MNRK Music Group. Prior to that, the band will release the singles âSleep Eternallyâ (2026) and âGypsy Tearsâ (2026). Other tracks on the album include âWhen The Stars Align, â â(I Am) The Resurrected, â âLost Inside, â âDreams of Darkness, â âSaviours, â âLife Eternal,â and âFar Away.â
