Biography
Leticia Muñoz Moreno, born in 1985 in Madrid, Spain, is a violinist who began her musical education at age three. By five, she was performing recitals. She studied under Zakhar Bron and later Maksim Vengerov and David Takeno. In 2004, she won first prize at the Kreisler competition with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra performing Dmitri Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 1. In 2013, Moreno released her debut album Spanish Landscapes, featuring lesser-known Spanish compositions. In 2014, she released Violin Concerto No. 1 in A Minor, Op. 77 / Preludes, Op. 34a, which featured a live performance with Yuri Temirkanov conducting the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. Moreno has collaborated with notable conductors such as Zubin Mehta and Vladimir Spivakov, performing with orchestras including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna Philharmonic.
