Biography

Leo Rojas, whose real name is Juan Leonardo Santillia Rojas, was born on October 18, 1984 in Otavalo, Ecuador. He is a panpipe player who became famous after winning the German TV show Das Supertalent in 2011. Leo Rojas impresses the audience with his emotional interpretation of "Einsamer Hirte", which earns him first place and greater fame. The subsequent release of the winning song reaches number 48 in the German charts. His debut album Spirit of the Hawk is released in 2012 and is produced by Dieter Bohlen. The album reaches number 2 in the German charts and goes gold. With songs such as "El cóndor pasa", Leo Rojas combines traditional South American melodies with modern arrangements. the album Flying Heart follows in 2012 and enters the German Top 50. in 2013, he released Albatross, which also reached the charts in Germany and Austria. in 2017, Leo Rojas returns with the album Leo Rojas, which combines modern electronic beats with his traditional sounds. His later releases include Colours of Nature (2022).
