Biography

Leftover Salmon are an American jam band from Boulder, Colorado, formed on 31 December 1989. The ensemble was founded by vocalist and guitarist Vince Herman and multi-instrumentalist Drew Emmitt, combining members of the Salmon Heads and the Left Hand String Band. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style blending bluegrass, rock, and country, which they refer to as “Polyethnic Slamgrass”. After signing with Hollywood Records, they released the studio albums Euphoria (1997) and The Nashville Sessions (1999). Their recording career includes the studio recordings Bridges to Bert (1993), Ask the Fish (1995), and Leftover Salmon (2004). After a period of inactivity starting in 2004, the group resumed activity in 2007. Their subsequent discography includes the studio recordings Aquatic Hitchhiker (2012), High Country (2014), Something Higher (2018), and Grass Roots (2023). Their discography includes the studio album Let's Party About It (2025).
