Biography
Formed in 2016, Leanne & Naara are a Manila-based Filipino indie pop duo. Consisting of Leanne Mamonong and Naara Azcueza, both of whom had begun their careers while still in school, the pair made their official debut in 2016 with the single âAgain.â They followed up with a slew of non-album singles, including âNew York and Backâ (2017), âMake Me Singâ (2018), and âDestinationâ (2019), all of which enjoyed great success in their native Philippines. In 2017, they also won Best Pop Recording for their track âRun Runâ at the 31st Awit Awards. After signing with Warner Music, Leanne & Naara released their highly anticipated studio debut, Daybreak, in 2020 and a live version titled Daybreak (Live) in 2021. That same year, they issued the single âAnticipation,â which entered the Top 100 in the Philippines at Number 94.
