Biography
Born on August 10, 1991 in Le Mans (72), France, into a family of Lebanese origin, Lea Makhoul began her musical career at an early age. However, her destiny is turned upside down by a family trip to her native Lebanon: while her return ticket to Sarthe is booked, Lea Makhoul finds herself propelled into the Star Academy Arabia competition in September 2014. The show was a revelation, and the young woman from Manche made it all the way to the final, where she finished second. Record companies surfed on her success and Lea Makhoul soon presented a first single, "Give Me Sunlight" (2015) produced by Diakar, which enjoyed initial success, including the top 20 on NRJ Liban. After a second single "You Know I Got It", again produced by Diakar, she placed herself at the heart of the music industry and became a new pop curiosity in the Middle East. Her signing to Universal Music in 2017 gave her access to new production resources, which were quickly put to use on a number of hit tracks, including "Ay Amor" (2019), "Ã nous" (2020), "RATATA" (2020) and "Now or Never " (2021), which garnered millions of listeners.
