Le Punk, a Spanish musical group formed in Alameda de Osuna, Madrid, in the late 1990s, was founded by Alfredo Fernández and Joe Eceiza. The band gained local recognition for their fusion of rock and roll, tango, and swing. Le Punk self-released their debut album, La Logia De La Canalla, in 2003. Their EP Dos Puñaladas A Gardel Y Otros Tres Delitos (2004) and second full-length album, No Disparen Al Pianista (2006), earned them a nomination for Best New Artist at the Premios de la Música. In 2008, their third album, Mátame, was released through Warner and became one of the best-selling albums in the country within a week.
