Originally from Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic, Lawal Izii entered the world of music in 2016. He intends to make his mark in the style he's been passionate about since his youth: hip-hop. With a first EP as an entry into the scene, the young rapper inserts himself with the five tracks that make up Vice Versa. Lawal Izii reveals his singular approach ("Ma touche perso"), between punchlines and beats inspired by early 2000s rap. He continues with "T'as fumé ou koi" (2016), conceived as a second part of his project, then "On est en guerre " released in 2018. His compositions and style became more refined, and Lawal Izii began fruitful featurings: with Soldiier, where the music leans towards Afro trap ("Ala sigui l Jouer" in 2016), then with Sparrow, where his flow becomes more precise ("Classico" in 2022). Symbolic of this openness, "Cpas une vie" (2020) but above all "Ego drill", released in 2021, shows Lawal Izii sensitive to new trends and fuels public expectations of a debut album.
