Lavinia Meijer, born February 12, 1983, in South Korea, is a South Korean-born Dutch classical harpist. Adopted into a family in Holland with a Dutch father and Austrian mother at age two, she began playing the harp at nine and was accepted into the Young Talent program of the Utrecht Conservatory at 11. Meijer graduated cum laude from the Utrecht Conservatory in 2003. Her career featured performances across Europe, Asia, and North America, with notable engagements at Carnegie Hall in New York City. She collaborated with orchestras like the Residentie Orkest and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Her discography featured albums such as Divertissements (2008) and Visions (2009). In 2012, she released Metamorphosis / The Hours, featuring works from Philip Glass, which reached Number 1 on the Dutch rock charts. Other album releases included 1685 (2004), Passaggio (2014), and Voyage (2015).
