Laure Rekoula, whose real name is Laure Ghislaine Rekoula, is a Gabonese singer. She first appeared on stage in 1987, when she was a student at the Collège Notre Dame de Quaben in Libreville. In 1996, the singer Ondeno Rebieno invited her to lend her voice to a duet on his album Paradoxe. In 2001, she collaborated on Landry Ifouta's ABC . She sang a duet with him and sang backing vocals on several of his songs. The general public discovered her in June 2007, when comedian Serge Abessolo invited her to perform at one of his shows. That same year, she released her first album, Eve, containing nine tracks. In December 2011, she presents the opus Eux . In 2017, she launched an EP entitled Merci Maman, comprising four songs. On August 17, 2018, Laure Rekoula was awarded the medal elevating her to the rank of Chevalier in the Gabonese Order of Merit.
