Biography
Producer and MC, Large Professor was also briefly involved in the career of alternative rap group Main Source. A native of Queens, New York, Large Professor is renowned for his instrumentals, which have earned him regular collaborations with Nas. Since 1990, he has contributed to tracks by Eric B & Rakim, A Tribe Called Quest, Slick Rick and Busta Rhymes. As an MC, he has worked with Mad Skillz, Organized Konfusion and Nas. As a solo artist, Large Professor is the author of several remarkable albums. The LP, recorded in 2002 and released in 2009, and 2008's Main Source highlight his beat science, comparable to that of DJ Premier or Dr. Dre. Professor @ Large in 2012, as usual, mixes veteran MCs with representatives of the new generation.
