LaGaylia Frazier was born February 16, 1961, in Miami, Florida. She is an American-Swedish singer known for her work in soul and jazz. She began singing at 15 and earned a scholarship to the University of Miami. Frazier's early career included performing with Top 40 bands and joining Bandera, a Pop-Latin dance band, in 1989. After moving to Sweden in 2001, she participated in multiple Rhapsody in Rock tours and made two bids for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and 2005 with "It's in the Stars" and "Nothing at All". Frazier released her debut album Uncovered in 2007. She has performed at notable events such as the Stockholm Jazz Festival and received the Anita O'Day Award in 2010.
