Biography

Light Pupil Dilate, an American rock trio from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2001. The band, often referred to by their acronym LPD, was composed of Eric Searle on guitar and vocals, Mike Chvasta on bass and vocals, and Michael Green on drums. Their sound blended post-punk, hardcore punk, metal, and space rock elements. Light Pupil Dilate released their debut album Cascades in 2003 via Vert Records. They followed this with Snake Wine, released in 2007 by Lifeforce Records. The band toured extensively across the eastern United States from 2004 to 2007, sharing stages with notable acts such as Mastodon and All That Remains. Light Pupil Dilate garnered critical acclaim from publications like Metal Maniacs and Creative Loafing. On July 30, 2010, the band performed at the Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta.
