Kye Kye, an American electropop band from Portland, Oregon, was formed in 2010. The group originally consisted of Estonian-born siblings Olga Yagolnikov Phelan on vocals and guitar, Timothy Yagolnikov on programming, keyboards, and guitar, Alex Yagolnikov on keyboards, and Olga's husband Thomas Phelan on drums. Their debut album Young Love was released independently in 2011. The band gained significant attention with their second studio album Fantasize, released on January 21, 2014, which charted at number 7 and number 50 on the Top Heatseekers Albums and Independent Albums charts, respectively during the Billboard charting week of February 8, 2014. Fantasize received positive reviews from various publications including CCM Magazine, Knoxville News Sentinel, and Indie Vision Music.
