Biography
The daughter of an Irish chef and a Nigerian DJ, Kwn (born Khyra Wilson in Walthamstow on April 5, 2000) left the London art school where she was studying at age sixteen to devote herself to music. Blending rap and alternative R&B, the androgynous singer emerged in 2022 with a handful of singles, followed by the six-track EP Episode Wn in November. This debut EP, co-produced with Tendai, Jay Boogz, Clon3z, and Scribz Riley, features the latter on âSweetieâ. Released in the spring of 2023, âNo Cinderellaâ garnered attention on social media and streaming platforms. It was followed in 2024 by âWorst Behaviourâ, an initial solo version before a cover featuring Kehlani that charted in the UK, notably reaching No. 75 on the singles chart. Following the release of the EP With All Due Respect in June 2025, featuring the hit âBack of the Clubâ, Kwn released her debut album, And All Pride Aside (No. 93 in the UK), in June 2026, featuring the charting tracks âHopeless Romanticâ (No. 13 on South Koreaâs Melon Overseas Top 500), âTouch Myselfâ (No. 3 on the same chart) and âRisk It Allâ (No. 9).
