Biography

Krystal Zealot is the musical project of comic book artist Julien Neel, born in Paris on April 26, 1976. Creator of the Lou! series of books for young people, Julien Neel created the musical alias Krystal Zealot in 2020, and continued his activity with the albums Lou! Sonata Vol. 1 (2020) and Lou! Sonata Vol. 2 (2023), soundtracks to animated films featuring the famous character. For the musical production, the author turned producer, surrounding himself with professional musicians and performers such as Maxime Briard (trumpet, drums), EzÃ©quiel Celada (hang drum, clarinet, saxophone) and LÃ©onie Sinclair (vocals). In 2024, five tracks from both albums were remixed by Darvel, NxQuantize, Dareda and Fayawa on the Remixes 1 EP.
