Biography

Born Tidadin Hin-on in Amnat Charoen Province, Thailand, Kowthip Tidadin – a.k.a. Kaothip Tidadin – is a traditional pop and luk thung (Thai country music) singer and actress. Inspired by her father, who was a musician, she began singing at an early age. Encouraged by her parents and her teachers, she was informed that record label Grammy Gold was searching for a luk thung singer. She recorded a demo for the label, who signed her to a record contract. In 2011, she released her debut album, Sen Tang Sai Kid Hord. Kowthip Tidadin released the hit single “O.K. Bor Ai” in 2012, which was followed by several other hits that year including “Kor Horm Gorn” and “Mai Dai Mod Ruk Tae Hua Jai Mod Raeng.” By 2015, she had branched out into acting and starred in several TV series including Nay Hoi Thamin (2017) and Mongkut Dok Ya (2020). Kowthip Tidadin also continued to release a series of singles including “The Word ‘Hugkan’ is Disgusting” (2017), “I Think It’s a Hangover Already” (2018), “Ain’t Got Away” (2019), and “Tear Factory Girl” (2022).
