Komplizen der Spielregeln is a band from Cologne, Germany, formed in 2003, whose music blended elements of post-punk, indietronic, pop, and krautrock. The group initially started as an unnamed dub noise project and later evolved into Komplizen der Spielregeln with the addition of vocalist Tobias Ortmanns. Their first release, Anteil am Tagesbedarf, came out in 2004. In 2007, the band solidified its lineup with Tobias Ortmanns (vocals), Volker Weide (guitar), Julien Paoli (drums), Christian Puckert (guitar), and Frank Nagel (bass). They gained significant attention with the album Es wird nur noch geatmet, released in 2009 on Sitzer Records, and notably collaborated with producer Hannes Jaeckl for the albums Es wird nur noch geatmet and Lieder vom Rio dâOro (2011). In 2016, they released the double EP Amerika, hol mich hier raus and went on tour.
