Kommand Elefant, an Austrian indie band, was founded in 2007 by Alf Peherstorfer. The group initially gained traction with self-recorded demos and performances as a duo with Bernhard Luis Pasching. Their debut album Kaputt, aber glücklich was released in 2008 on Asinella Records, featuring the singles "Wittgenstein" and "Evelyne", which received airplay on FM4 Radio. The band's second album, Kommt wir hauen Granaten rein. Das kleine bisschen Leben., released in 2010 via LasVegas Records, included notable tracks like "Alaska" and "Falsche Helden". In 2012, they released their third album, Scheitern als Show, with the single "Sternenmarie", which reached number 2 on the Austrian Indie Charts. The band has also been active in various charitable causes and political events, reflecting their left-leaning stance. Their subsequent albums include Lass uns Realität (2014), Herz und Anarchie (2017), Seltene Elemente (2020), and Sieben (2023).
