Biography
Keny Arkana honed her visceral taste for freedom from an early age, through a singular human journey on the bangs of society (homes, wanderings, anarchist squats...). With her first album, Entre Ciment et Belle Etoile (2006), the young rapper set the tone: a flow that stops at nothing, serving a message that is by turns openly anti-globalization or autobiographical. From the outset, she has shown herself to be one of the most promising talents on the French hip-hop scene. After the 2008 maxi Désobéissance , Keny Arkana launched a second autobiographical volume in L'Esquisse 2 in 2011. Her second album Tout Tourne Autour du Soleil was released in December 2012. After that, she kept a low profile, only reappearing in 2016 with a hard-hitting EP, Etat d'Urgence, in response to the social situation in France.
