Biography

Kauko RÃ¶yhkÃ¤, born Jukka-Pekka VÃ¤limaa on February 12, 1959 in Valkeakoski, Finland, is a Finnish rock musician and author. He began his career as a singer-songwriter in 1980, releasing his debut album Steppaillen that same year. RÃ¶yhkÃ¤'s most famous backing band was Narttu, with whom he collaborated throughout the years 1980â1990. Notable subsequent albums include Kaksi Koiraa (1990), Jumalan Lahja (1993), and Miss Farkku-Suomi (2001). RÃ¶yhkÃ¤ also became known for his literary works, having published ten novels or short story collections.
