Biography

Kathryn Ellison Kirby, known professionally as Katy Kirby, is an American musician and singer-songwriter from Spicewood, Texas. Raised in an evangelical Christian household, she was homeschooled and later studied English at Belmont University in Nashville. She began her recording career with the EP Juniper in 2018. She gained wider recognition with her debut studio album Cool Dry Place (2021), which received critical acclaim and appeared on numerous year-end best album lists. In 2023, she signed with ANTI- Records and released her second studio album, Blue Raspberry, in 2024, followed by tours across the United States and Europe. Her music is noted for its perceptive songwriting, warm vocals, and adult-alternative style.
