Biography

Born in Paris in 1977, Karine Costa rose to fame in 1992 as the voice of Princess Jasmine in the French version of the cartoon Aladdin. Her most popular duet with Daniel Lévi and Paolo Domingo, "Ce rêve bleu ", reached number three in the singles chart, where it stayed for twenty-eight weeks. Specializing in songs for Disney animated films, Karine Costa appeared on the soundtracks of Pocahontas 2 (1998) and Le Sortilège de Cendrillon (2007). Her career also includes the 1994 hit "You " and, above all, her version of "I Say a Little Prayer " (2002), which was used to illustrate an advert for Crédit Mutuel and ranked in the top twenty sales of short media.
