Kim Youngâwoon, known professionally as Kangin, was born on 17 January 1985 in Seoul, South Korea, and worked as a singer, actor, television host, and radio personality. After training with SM Entertainment, he debuted with the 12âmember project group Super Juniorâ05 on 6 November 2005, performing the single "Twins (Knock Out)" and releasing the album SuperJunior05 (Twins) the following month, which entered the monthly MIAK Kâpop charts at number three. In 2006 he joined the subâunit Super JuniorâT and later Super JuniorâH, while his acting debut appeared in the 2007 film Attack on the PinâUp Boys. Kangin returned to the full group for Sexy, Free & Single in 2012 and continued touring until his withdrawal from Super Junior in 2019 amid controversies. He released solo singles such as "Cat Funeral OST" (2015) and "LOVE IS PAIN" (2026). The single "LOVE IS PAIN" was released in April 2026 and entered Melon's Top 500 Melon domestic chart at rank 26 the next day.
