Kalevauva.fi is a Finnish folk-pop and humor music duo from Helsinki, formed in 2016. The duo, consisting of Aapo Niininen and Kimmo Numminen, was established to perform at the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival. The duo gained recognition for songs with lyrics sourced from Finnish internet forums, such as Vauva, and social media. By January 2023, the duo's YouTube channel had reached over 6.7 million views. The duo released its self-titled debut studio album, Kalevauva.fi, in 2017, which won the folk music album of the year award from Kansanmusiikki magazine. That same year, the duo was named Vantaa citizen of the year by Vantaan Sanomat. Their discography includes the studio albums SOME FOLK (2020) and Kaupunkilaulut (2022). They released several singles, including âMies syö lapsen vanukkaat !!â (2017), âJyväskyläâ (2017), and âEspooâ (2022), featuring Club For Five. In 2024, the duo released the single âHämeenlinnaâ.
