Biography

Kaleidoscópio, a Brazilian drum and bass duo from São Paulo, was formed in 2002 by DJ Ramilson Maia and singer and dancer Janaina Lima. The group's producer was Jorge Boratto. Kaleidoscópio gained initial recognition with the release of their single "Você Me Apareceu" in May 2003. Their debut album, Tem Que Valer, was released in 2004, by Mega Music in Brazil and subsequently distributed internationally by IRMA Group Records. The duo participated in Festivalbar 2004, further boosting their popularity in Brazil and Italy. In September 2008, they released the single "O Que Faz Vibrar". Kaleidoscópio's second album, Kaleido, was released exclusively in Japan by Aperitivo Records in 2006. Their third album, New Sessions!, followed in 2007 under IRMA records. In December 2016, the duo released their fourth album, Amava Você, via iMusics. Janaina Lima also pursued a solo career, releasing her debut album Me Leva Com Você in early 2010 and later announcing her return to Kaleidoscópio via her video streaming channel.
