Biography

Mark Kasprzyk, born in Canada, is a Canadian singer whose career spans alternative and rap‑rock styles. He first emerged in the early 2000s, signing with Epic Records in New York City and releasing the debut album Go For Broke on 25 August 2003. The lead single "Pedal To The Metal" gained exposure through the soundtracks of The Italian Job (2003) and Catch That Kid (2004), and appeared in several video games and television series. The album sold 25 000 copies worldwide. After Epic’s executive changes, Kasprzyk moved to Linus Entertainment, issuing the second album Broke in 2003, featuring the single "Ordinary". In 2009 he formed the band Redlight King with Julian Tomarin and signed to Hollywood Records; the group released Something for the Pain in 2011, with "Old Man" reaching number 17 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, and "Bullet in My Hand" attaining number 3 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks. Redlight King followed with Irons in the Fire (2013) and the single "Born to Rise", used in the 2014 film Draft Day and as pre‑game music for the Anaheim Ducks. In 2017 Kasprzyk released the single "Champion" under Parts + Labor Records, later included on Redlight King’s 2020 album Moonshine. His work has been featured on major radio formats and festival line‑ups.
