Soul-Junk is an American experimental Christian rock and hip hop ensemble from San Diego established in 1993. The group consists of the musician Glen Galaxy. Galaxy achieved professional recognition for a musical career that began after he left the ensemble Trumans Water to focus on Soul-Junk as a solo project. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by the combination of experimental rock, hip hop, and avant-jazz. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording 1950 (1994) which featured indie rock and lyrics taken from the Bible. Soul-Junk achieved professional recognition for a numerical naming convention where albums were numbered upward from 1950 and extended plays were numbered downward.
