Kairi Yagi, born 八木 海莉 on 5 September 2002 in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese singer and voice actress. She began dancing early and entered Actor's School Hiroshima after a solo audition in fifth grade, where she also took vocal lessons. After moving to Tokyo at 15, she worked part‑time, studied voice, and posted cover videos on YouTube, gradually gaining attention. Her breakthrough came in 2021 when she was selected as the singer for the main character Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song; the theme "Sing My Pleasure" reached Number 1 on the RecoChoku newcomers download chart in the first half of 2021. That same year she released her debut single "Ripe Aster" on 18 December, which served as the theme for The Irregular at Magic High School Reminiscence Arc. Kairi Yagi signed with Ki/oon Music, and on 27 April 2022 released the mini‑album Mizuke wo utau. She followed with singles "Kimienoikusa" (27 July 2022), "刺激による彼ら" (24 August 2022), "know me..." (15 November 2023), and "recall" (8 May 2024). Her work has earned chart success and positioned her as a notable contemporary J‑pop artist.
