Biography

Konomi Suzuki has made a career for herself as one of the biggest performers in the anison industry, performing songs for anime including 'Dusk Maiden of Amnesia', 'Days of Dash' and 'Lost Song'. Suzuki was born in Osaka, Japan, in 1996, the youngest of three children. She began singing and taking dance lessons from an early age, but it was the character Sheryl Nome from the anime series 'Macross Frontier' who inspired her to take the direction of singing for animation. In 2011 Suzuki entered and won the `Animax All-Japan Anison Grand Prix' and her first single, 'Choir Jail', followed in 2012. It reached number 34 in the Oricon Singles Chart and it was used as the opening theme of the anime 'Dusk Maiden of Amnesia'. Her second single, 'Days of Dash', was released later that year and was also picked up for an anime, appearing as the closing theme in 'The Pet Girl of Sakurasou'. From there on out Suzuki had a string of successes, with tracks getting picked up for anime including 'No Matter How I Look at It, It's You Guys' Fault I'm Not Popular!', 'No Game No Life' and 'Lord Marksman and Vanadis'. In 2016 she took her involvement with anime a step further, getting cast for her first voice acting role as the heroine of the series 'Lost Song'.
