Biography
Jungle Smile is a Japanese music duo formed in 1994 by Ikuno Takagi (born June 29, 1975 in Kanagawa Prefecture) and Isao Yoshida (born October 1, 1972 in Gunma Prefecture). In 1996, they made their major label debut with the single "Kaze wo Okoso. This work won the All Japan Cable Broadcasting Award for Best Newcomer, and was a major step up in the unit's popularity. This was followed by the smash hit "Same Star" in 1998, which established a firm position in the group. Although vocalist Takagi had to take a break due to treatment for his throat, the group always delivered a high-quality pop sound. In 2014, they released a new song, "Meteor Spectacle," which has remained close to the hearts of their fans since their hiatus.
