Biography

Bonaparte was founded by Tobias Jundt in 2006 following a road trip in Barcelona. The band was known for their live performances featuring a diverse cast and expressive stage presence. Their debut album Too Much was released in 2008. Notable subsequent albums include My Horse Likes You (2010), Sorry, We're Open (2012), and The Return of Stravinsky Wellington (2017). In 2019, the band announced a farewell concert in Berlin but resumed activities in 2023 and embarked on the The Quiet & the Riot tour in February 2024. Throughout their career, Bonaparte has been awarded several accolades including the Radio Award for New Music from the ART youth radio stations Fritz, You FM and MDR Sputnik in 2008, and the Live Entertainment Award (LEA) for Best Club Act in 2010.
