Biography

Goitzsche Front is a German rock band from the town of Bitterfeld-Wolfen in Saxony-Anhalt that was founded in 2009. They initially appeared as a pure cover band before creating their own songs with punk rock influences. Their debut album Musik ist mein Blut was released in 2012, and their third album Mo[nu]ment entered the German album charts for the first time in 2016 at number 16. This was followed by the albums Deines Glückes Schmied (2018) and Ostgold (2020), which reached No. 1 and No. 2 in the charts in Germany. Between the album releases, Goitzsche Front repeatedly play festivals and various concert tours in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. After the live album Live in Berlin (2020) and the reinterpretation of the album Ostgold with the title Ostgold 25 Karat (2021), the band returns in 2024 with a new studio album. Jugend von gestern climbs straight to number 1 in the German charts.
