Biography

Luis Ángel Iglesias, known professionally as Jorge Falcón, was born on October 14, 1949, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began singing at a young age and recorded his first single at thirteen in Mar del Plata. Jorge Falcón joined various musical groups and orchestras, including those led by Jorge de Luca and Gabriel Clausi. His breakthrough came when he joined Héctor Varela's orchestra in 1976, adopting the stage name Jorge Falcón. He achieved his first commercial success with the milonga "Azúcar, pimienta y sal" from his debut album La noche, el tango y el amor (1982). He released several notable albums, including El amor desolado (1984) and Para todos... con amor (1986), which featured collaborations with artists like María Graña. Jorge Falcón's health declined after a car accident in 1986, leading to his death on July 2, 1987, from cancer.
