Biography

Jonathon Boogie Long, born on September 15, 1988 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is an American blues guitarist who began playing guitar at six, receiving his first instrument from his father at eight. He debuted with the EP The Pete Anderson Sessions in 2011, featuring original tracks such as "Bad Karma". Long’s first full‑length album, Jonathon Boogie Long & the Blues Revolution, was self‑released in 2013, followed by Trying to Get There in 2016 and Parables of a Southern Man in 2021 on Wild Heart Records, both reaching the Billboard Top Blues Albums top ten. The album Courage in the Chaos was released in March of 2026. He toured with B.B. King, ZZ Top, and Robert Cray, performed regularly at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and appeared in the film We Are Kings. In November 2019, Long was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.
