Biography

John Farrell Logan, known professionally as John "Juke" Logan, and born on September 11, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, was an American electric blues harmonica player and musician who gained his nickname from constantly playing Little Walter's track "Juke" (1952). Logan began his musical journey by learning the piano. Notable albums include The Chill (1993), Juke Rhythm (1998), 'Live' As It Gets (1999), and The Truth Will Rock You (2005). He also became known for his harmonica playing on the theme music for the television programs Home Improvement and Roseanne, and films Crossroads and La Bamba. Logan was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2009 and underwent successful surgery, but the cancer returned in 2011. He died from cancer at his home in Joshua Tree, California, on August 30, 2013, at the age of 66.
