Jo Berger Myhre, born Jo Myhre on May 29, 1984, in Sandefjord, Norway, is a Norwegian jazz bassist. He began his musical journey by earning a Bachelor's degree in performing improvisational music from the Norwegian Academy of Music and further honed his skills under Anders Jormin at the Music Academy in Gothenburg, Sweden. Myhre gained early recognition as a member of various ensembles, including Blokk 5 and Ingrid Olava.Myhre's career took significant strides with his involvement in the Nils Petter Molvær Quartet since 2013, contributing to albums such as Switch (2014) and Buoyancy (2016), for which he also served as a co-producer. His solo projects include collaborations with Splashgirl, resulting in notable releases like Huntsville (2011) and Field Day Rituals (2013).
