Jessie Frye is a Texas-based singer-songwriter known for her dynamic blend of synth-pop, rock, and emotionally charged songwriting. Born and raised in Denton, Texas, she began her musical journey with classical piano lessons at age 12 and voice training at eight, later drawing inspiration from artists like Tori Amos, The Cure, and literary figures such as Oscar Wilde and Anaïs Nin. Her music has been celebrated in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, earning her the Best Pop Act award from the Dallas Observer in 2015 and 2016, and from the Denton Music Awards in 2017. She has shared stages with notable artists like Pat Benatar, The Avett Brothers, and Phantogram, and has toured with synthwave acts FM-84 and Timecop1983. In 2016, she performed at a Bernie Sanders rally, reflecting her commitment to using music as a platform for unity and empowerment. Her recent album, 2025's Otherworld, continues to showcase her evolving artistry and connection with fans.
