Born in New York City on March 31, 1998, American rapper Cashmere Small aka Cash Cobain began making several mixtapes with production software in 2018: 719 (2018), Nirvana (2021), Slizzy Timing (2022), 2 Slizzy 2 Sexy with Chow Lee (2022) and Pretty Girls Love Slizzy (2023). In 2024, he enjoyed success with the track "Fisherrr", a duet with Bay Swag that reached No. 33 on the US R&B/hip-hop charts, followed by the single "Grippy", a remix with J. Cole of the track "Rump Punch". The Play Cash Cobain album that followed in the summer of 2024 combined these tracks and added "Problem" with Laila! and "Act Like". On its release, the album reached No. 113 on the Billboard 200.
