Jazkamer, originally known as Jazzkammer, is a Norwegian experimental music group formed in 1998 by John Hegre and Lasse Marhaug. The duo initially gained attention for their avant-garde approach, blending elements of electronic music, concrete music, field recordings, and guitar improvisation. Their debut album Hot Action Sexy Karaoke was released in 2000. Throughout their career, Jazkamer released numerous albums including Timex (2000), Rolex (2002), Pancakes (2002), and Metal Music Machine (2006). They collaborated with notable artists such as Merzbow, Maja Ratkje, Government Alpha, Smegma, and Howard Stelzer. In 2010, the group produced a series of monthly releases on Pica Disk, featuring contributions from artists like Jean-Philippe Gross and Anla Courtis.
