Biography

jay Trépanier is a singer-songwriter from Gatineau, Quebec. Passionate about music from an early age, he was a member of the English-language folk trio Leverage for Mountains. In 2024, he decided to launch a solo project in French. In September 2024, he unveiled his first solo single, " La Forêt ", a country folk song inspired by the forest of Lac Beauchamps, a significant place in his childhood. On October 15, 2024, he continued his musical exploration with " Perdu la tête ", a more alternative-sounding track in which he tackles the complexities of romantic relationships. A month later, Jay presents " Partir ", an introspective ballad in which he expresses the dilemma between the desire to flee and the desire to preserve what is dear to him. On January 31, 2025, he released his first solo album in French, Sur le chemin qui mène à toi.
