Jasmine Guy, born Jasmine Guy on March 10, 1962, in Boston, Massachusetts, is an American singer. Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, she began her artistic journey at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center in New York City. Her music career started during her time on the television show A Different World, where she released her debut album, Jasmine Guy, in 1990. The album featured notable singles such as "Try Me", "Another Like My Lover", and "Just Want To Hold You".
